Preface

The world has become a small village due to the revolution in Information Technology. Fast growing information technology and communication systems have become critical components of almost every company. Companies which want to take advantage of the new information technologies and communication systems require expert professionals, who can apply computer science principles to solve problems created by the interface between business and technology. This course is designed to produce a dynamic breed of computer professionals with excellent managerial skills. Emphasis is given to in-depth studies of numerous application-oriented subjects, covering various methodologies to develop software products efficiently by utilizing advance networking technologies and application softwares.
The course design primarily includes three main streams, namely

1. Post Graduate Program in Computer Application (Industry Integrated)
2. MCA*
3. Industry Specific Diploma Program.

PGPCA(Industry Integrated): Post Graduate Program in Computer Application (Industry Integrated) is in tune with Industry demand with practical project assignment in Industry. This program includes Management Practices and Processes(MPP) which impart in-depth knowledge about fundamentals and latest techniques of Management. The syllabus of this is a mix of computer applications and business practices. GIMT also provide Summer Internship Program(SIP) with leading Companies.

MCA*:It is a Post Graduate Degree program of 3 years from UCG recognized University. This program will prepare budding professional to face new challenges in the IT industry. Knowledge of various functional areas of IT and IT enabled management services is provided to the students.

ISDP: Industry Specific Diploma Program is an autonomous program meant to enhance placement opportunities of the students by providing them knowledge in a particular sector as per their field of interest. This way we blend hobbies with career to make them a successful professional. Students are given latest knowledge content in any one from these areas:

Network Security and Administrator/ Database Management & Services/ Internet Marketing & E- Commerce

In addition, the institute provides "Make-Over Programs" to the students, which include Physical Metamorphosis & Confidence Boosting, Elegance & Communication Finesse & Poise, Etiquette, Courtesies & Social Grace etc. with overall emphasis on personality development and Business Communication to emerge as effective business leaders.
